Folding Scooters
Folding scooters are great if you have limited storage space, whether in the home or in the car boot. Some are small enough to meet the requirements to take them on a bus without folding.
Shown here are the folding scooters that we usually stock. Most are available to lease through the Motability Scheme as well as being available to buy privately. Some are easy to fold/unfold; some take a bit of practice before you nail it; some are as light as you can get; some are heavier and take a bit of muscle to lift. Most folding scooters travel up to 4mph, although there are two exceptions in this category which are road legal scooters. Most will have lithium batteries. Some are airline friendly but if you are buying it especially to take on a plane it's best to check with your carrier what their specific policy is, and what paperwork they need to see, before purchasing.
The lightest folding scooter is around 15kg-17Kg which some people still struggle to lift, an alternative is a dismantling scooter or lifting it with the use of a boot hoist. You can see some dismantling scooters on our Pavement Scooters page.
We have good relationships with the majority of well known and respected mobility equipment suppliers so if you don't see what you are looking for it is likely we can get it for you.
We will not sell you a scooter or powerchair if we feel you are not competent to use it. Your safety and that of other pavement and road users is important to us. We don't pay our staff commission on sales, their main focus will be on finding the right product for you and not how much commission they can make!
