WHEELCHAIRS AND POWERCHAIRS

A manual wheelchair is an extremely personal piece of equipment. They invariably have to be set up to some degree (if not completely configured) for the user.  Consideration also has to be given to how, when and where the equipment is to be used, and not forgetting whether the needs of carers have to be considered!  Wheelchairs are either propelled by the user or by an attendant.  

Buying without trying can be an extremely high risk strategy!  We stock a basic range of wheelchairs and walkers, but can order specialist and custom built versions.

If you are ordering a Motability car you can also order a lease wheelchair via your car dealership for an up front one-off cost of only £100.  More information can be found on the Motability website here.

While these are wheelchairs which have basically been given motors... there cannnot be a 'one size fits all' approach!  With a broad spectrum of options ranging from the most basic right through to very sophisticated systems to support special user requirements, making considerations and decisions can feel overwhelming, however our Sales Team are here to help and guide you.
